TOLEDO: The Wildcats took down Start High School 3-1 Tuesday without leading outside hitter Xavi Hale, improving to 8-6 on the season. The Cats came out strong in the first two sets before dropping the third, then closed it out in a tight fourth set, 27-25.

Nolan Smith and Enoch Thomas led the offense with 10 and 9 kills respectively, with Thomas earning his first varsity start of the season. Cooper Smith ran the offense with 31 assists while adding 13 digs for a double-double on the night. Ramzi Orra, also making his varsity debut, led the team with 3 aces. At the net, Nolan Smith tied his own school record with 4 blocks in a four-set match.
