Biography:

Coach Davis, a.k.a. Coach D, is grateful to join the Cats XC program and
serve as an assistant under Coach Esbin.

Coach D was a four-time RI All-State high school distance runner and a top
New England prep runner. He went on to compete for DI Boston University
and DIII Hope College.

His previous coaching experience includes XC and Track with the Ben
Lippen School distance program in Columbia, South Carolina, and most
recently in Track with Notre Dame Academy of Toledo.

Professionally, Coach D has taught at the college and high school levels,
and currently works as a content writer.

He is a graduate of Pilgrim High School (RI), Hope College, holds two
Master’s degrees, and holds a PhD from Bowling Green State University.

Marshall and his wife Susan live in Sylvania.

Biography:

Coach Esbin is entering his fourth season with the cross country program and second season as Head Coach. Under his guidance, the Distance Cats have qualified an athlete to the State meet for the first time in over in a decade in both cross country and track. At the time of his graduation in 2008, Nick was the school record holder in the 5k for cross county, becoming the first athlete to break the 16:00 minute barrier in school history. He was also a member of the school record 4x800 relay team. 

Nick is a graduate of Sylvania Northview High School and Bowling Green State University.

Nick and his wife Ashley reside in Sylvania with their two daughters, Noelle and Parker.
