SYLVANIA - The Wildcats took care of business at home Monday night, outlasting Detroit Catholic Central in five sets. After cruising through the first two sets, the Shamrocks responded by taking sets three and four before the Wildcats closed it out with a convincing 15-9 win in the fifth.
Sophomore setter Cooper Smith ran the offense efficiently, racking up 34 assists on the night. Sophomore Drew Longardner led all players with 16 kills on a .206 hitting clip, while senior Nolan Smith added 10 kills hitting .381 to go along with 7 blocks. The team finished with a .167 hitting efficiency on the night, a new school record for a five-set match. Senior libero Anthony Pedro anchored the back row with 20 digs and chipped in 4 aces on the service line.

The Wildcats head to Springfield High School on Saturday for the Springfield Spike Tournament, opening the day against Olentangy Orange and host Springfield HS.
