SYLVANIA - Wildcats defeat Anthony Wayne 3-2 in a thrilling match in Whitehouse.
The Wildcats earned their second win of the season Wednesday night, taking down Anthony Wayne in five sets to move to 2-3 on the year.
Nolan Smith led the way with 14 kills and 7 blocks while setting a school record with a 0.583 hitting efficiency in a five-set match. He also tied his own school record of 7 blocks in a five sets, with the team matching their record of 13 blocks in a five-set match as well. Drew Longardner and Xavi Hale added 10 and 11 kills respectively, with Longardner recording a double-double on 10 digs. Andrew Smith and Anthony Pedro each led the team in digs with 13 apiece.
