SYLVANIA - In the first home match of the season, the Northview Wildcats pushed the match to the distance, ultimately dropping in the fifth set to start the season at 0-3.
Leading for Northview was senior outside hitter, Xavier Hale, with 12 kills, 18 digs; and sophomore opposite hitter, Drew Longardner, with 11 kills, and 16 digs and 8 aces. The offense was lead by sophomore setter, Cooper Smith, with 31 assists, 10 digs, and kills for his second double-double of the season. Senior libero, Anthony Pedro, recorded a team high 23 digs.
The Cats return to action on Tuesday, March 31st as they host Start High School.
