Opening Matches for the 2026 Boys Campaign

PERRYSBURG - In the first two matches of the year for the Cats, it was an opportunity to learn about this young squad and see where they matched up in the early part of the season as they traveled to Perrysburg to play the Yellow Jackets and a strong Medina High School team.
In both matches, the Cats were defeated 0-2. Leading for the Cats in the first match vs. Perrysburg, was senior outside hitter, Xavier Hale with a team high 7 kills, while hitting .438. The Cats received a team high 10 digs from sophomore setter, Cooper Smith, who also dished out 10 assists for this first double-doubel of the season.
In the second match, the Cats struggled offensively and were unable to find rhythm. Northview received 4 kills from Andrew Smith, who also chipped in 2 aces. Senior, Anthony Pedro, recorded a team high 6 digs, and Cooper Smith had a team high 6 assists.
