MILLBURY - Caturday non-conference match-up of the Flyers from Lake vs. the Cats from Northview and what a battle it was. Northview wins the first set, Lake bounces back to win two and three forcing Northview into a must win in set 4, which they pull off and forced a deciding set five. Northview was victorious in the match to move to 2-2 on the season.
Leading for the Cats was junior setter, Alayna Sauer, with 44 assists, 18 digs (her second double-double of the season), while adding 18 points won on serve throughout the match with 4 aces. The Cats offense was balanced with Frankie Ramsdell-Washington, junior middle blocker, leading the way with 14 kills, hitting .345; sophomore middle blocker Reese Holmes with 8 kills, hitting .500; senior opposite Bri Langenderfer with 10 kills, hitting .194; and outside hiters, senior Talia Twigg with 9 kills, and juniors Katie Ward with 8 kills and Molly Suon with 4 kills.
Defensively, the Cats received 15 digs from junior defensive specialist Kyra Ervin, 11 from sophomore Jade Hagan and 10 from Twigg.

The Cats return to action on Tuesday as they travel down Alexis Road to Whitmer High School. Freshman and JV at 4:45 P.M. and Varsity to follow in the first Buckeye Division match of the season.
